Healing Life Cycles

Understanding Life’s Cycles and Your Relationship to Them
In Shamanism, we use a Medicine Wheel as a symbol of life’s cycles and patterns. The soul undergoes a journey from sunrise to sunset, beginning to end, from ordeals to wisdom, and from life to death—cycles that seem to repeat endlessly.

Realising the Power You Have
Journeying through life with Power, Truth, and Positive Attunement frees us from being overwhelmed by pain and suffering, allowing us to become whole, complete beings. We then create a meaningful life for ourselves, our communities, and the world. Living in this way makes us less likely to harm other life unconsciously or mindlessly.

Curiosity
“You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing, and dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life.” - Krishnamurti

Persistence. Persistence. Persistence.
A quick fix only reduces symptoms or makes them go away temporarily.
This is not healing; it is therapy and self-maintenance for another purpose.
The only person who can truly free you from your limitations, pain, or suffering is you.

Self-Awareness and Mindfulness
Self-awareness is the ability to self-reflect and take an honest perspective of yourself and your life, with mindfulness of limiting reactions.

Mindfulness is understanding the element of the unknown within you, acknowledging that this unknown may be harmful to yourself, others, or the Earth. It is like creating something with one hand while the other hand destroys it without realising—hence, the need for mindfulness.

Compassion
Genuinely wishing for the betterment of yourself, others, your community, the Earth, and all life is fundamental to healing. Heal Body, Heart, Mind, and Soul.

Create It
Clearing our consciousness is crucial, as each moment is held in our somatic system. The mind may suppress moments that are too overwhelming to process, causing them to become trapped in the body. If unresolved, this stress can lead to physical problems. A “mother” or “father” wound (or any authority figure in childhood) can hinder our growth and create patterns later in life that affect relationships, self-worth, and happiness.

Negative Attunement
Negative attunement is living in an inverted reality where negativity is the norm. This reality is marked by disharmony in relationships, loneliness, anger, grief, and escapism. In our society, negative attunement is normalised, and substance abuse—be it food, alcohol, or pharmaceuticals—is the standard response to stress or pain.

In Healing Practice
We consider both science and spirit, recognising the entire being and consciousness as pathways toward a positive sense of well-being.

Begin... Open the Door
Healings are gateways; they open the door to truth and support us on our journey. When navigating the unknown, the process of overcoming challenges requires courage and endurance. We must meet challenges, walk through blocks, and transform, growing into wisdom and knowledge. When our challenges overwhelm us, we become lost, in pain or suffering, and disconnected from happiness.
