August Theme
BECOMING
3rd Week of Every Month
August brings us into the final month of Winter.
After listening, resting and turning inward, something begins to move.
Becoming is the space between what has been and what is beginning to emerge.
We may not yet know what the new shape will be. We may only feel that something is changing.
Winter is not only a time of rest. It is also a time of conception.
Beneath the surface, life is preparing.
Seeds are held in the earth before they break through. New growth begins before we see it. In our own inner world, becoming can happen in the same way.
What is quietly forming within us?
What are we ready to leave behind?
What are we beginning to recognise about ourselves?
And what needs our care before it is ready to come into the light?
Natural Wellness asks us not to rush becoming.
To listen.
To notice.
To nurture what is forming.
To allow something to take its own shape before we decide what it must become.
As Winter begins to turn towards Spring, August is an opportunity to spend time with this threshold.
Not quite where we were.
Not yet where we are going.
Becoming.
Natural Wellness Week — August
Throughout Natural Wellness Week we will explore Becoming through the body, mind, heart, Spirit and our relationship with the natural world.
We continue the Winter movement of:
Nurture — Listening — Becoming
before we move into Spring:
Beginning — Vision — Intention.
This month is about recognising what is already beginning within us and giving it the space, attention and relationship it needs to grow.
Natural Wellness Week Returns
Natural Wellness Week returns as we come into our third month, and this time we look more deeply at the heart of Natural Wellness — relationship.
What happens to the things we carry when a relationship is challenged? Do they disappear because life moves on, or do they remain somewhere within us?
Through listening, reflection and return, Natural Wellness asks us to look at the relationships we hold with others, our body, our inner world, health, illness, life and death — and to notice what happens when we become quiet enough to truly listen.
