A Reflection on Natural Wellness

It began as a feeling and a light in my heart.

It is only days away and I think, WOW! It's almost here...

Looking Back

Over the past decade or so, I have had the honour and privilege to be with, facilitate, support, and heal many of you reading this. There is a feeling we reach when our being changes and we feel good.

From a practitioner perspective, I see it at the end. Like the hero's triumph, the calmness that arrives after a journey, or the way years later you made your dream happen. 😊

As a partner, daughter, friend, and member of our community, I know Natural Wellness through the honest conversations where we connect, through our stories, apologies, forgiveness, and the ways we adapt to live in harmony with our families.

But it doesn't always go like that.

We all experience separation from loved ones, relationships that break apart or become estranged, loneliness, the ways we are unreconciled inside, the changes since 2020, and plain everyday stress.

How Did I End Up at Natural Wellness?

After looking into people's eyes, or experiencing the little things that make us or someone else feel better, I began to notice something.

In that moment, everything is naturally well.

We are InSyntropy.

In sync.

We've got the flow going on.

Everyone manifests this uniquely, yet we all relate.

Natural Wellness Is All Around Us

We can tap into it through something that nourishes us.

Something that reminds us that we are part of life.

Let's Explore Natural Wellness

Over the years I have watched people transform when they actively seek to heal their hearts, speak honestly about what matters, and communicate with openness and care.

There is something powerful about living one's truth.

It deepens relationships, creates understanding, and often frees not only ourselves but everyone around us to show up more authentically.

I observe Natural Wellness in:

• Community and the way we mutually look after one another

• Lightness and love in our hearts

• Our relationship with food, earth, energy, and living in balance with the world around us

• The simple and wondrous ways internal honesty transforms any moment

• Being present

• Quieting the mind so we can truly listen and be for others

• Connection, motion, and relationship

• Compassionate, kind, and truthful conversation

• The pure awesomeness of nature

• Acceptance

• Belonging

In the simple moments like spending time in the garden, sharing a meal, sitting around a fire, helping someone else, walking in nature, and being in the company of people who care.

What Is Wellness?

When I reflect on wellness, I find myself thinking about relationship.

• Our relationship with ourselves. How well is that relationship?

• Our relationship with one another. How well is that relationship?

• Our relationship with the natural world. How well is that relationship?

• Our relationship with the communities we participate in creating. How well is that relationship?

The values at the heart of Natural Wellness Week are simple.

Living in a way that contributes to life.

Perhaps that is why this project feels important to me.

Not because it provides answers.

Because it creates opportunities for us to remember.

To remember that wellbeing is something we participate in.

Gratitude

As this idea begins to take shape, I feel grateful for everyone who has encouraged it, questioned it, contributed to it, and helped bring it into being.

It feels like the beginning of something worthwhile.
